Missouri State Board of Education Approves Sponsorship of New Kansas City Charter School
Citizens of the World Charter Schools – Kansas City will open two schools in August 2016 serving 288 kindergarten and 1st grade students in Midtown Kansas City, Missouri. This is the first charter school sponsored by Missouri Charter Public School Commission.
Missouri Charter Public School Commission Names Founding Executive Director
It is with great pleasure that the Missouri Charter Public School Commission names Robbyn Wahby as its founding executive director. “We believe under Robbyn’s leadership there is great potential for the Commission to set a foundation for innovation, collaboration, accountability, and impact for the children and families in Missouri,” says Commission Chair, Alicia Herald.
Gov. Nixon Appoints Susan Cole to the Missouri Charter Public Schools Commission
Gov. Jay Nixon today announced his appointments to three boards and commissions. The appointees, along with their boards and hometowns, are: Children’s Trust Fund Board (Robert Andrew Bryan – Springfield; Margaret Peggy Krokstrom – Chesterfield) Missouri Charter Public Schools Commission (Susan Cole – Webster Groves) State Board of Pharmacy (Dr. Christina M. Ferguson – Kansas City)
