The Charter School Finance Specialist works closely with the Deputy Director, other Commission staff and Commissioners. The Charter School Finance Specialist will play a leading role within key agency workstreams, including new charter applications, pre-opening for authorized schools, monitoring fiscal framework, financial intervention monitoring, renewal oversight, and assisting agency staff in supporting the Commission’s Finance Committee. This position will also assist the Executive Director in school closure processes as may be necessary, monitoring all financial requirements are met. They will act as a liaison between the Commission and multiple internal offices in the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, specifically the Division of Financial and Administrative Services.
